Running ClubWednesdays: Meet in the lobby @ CAC @ 6:00 pm for a 4 mile run Class DescriptionsExpress Abs: All about the abdominal region. A series of crunches and curls sure to trim that waistline! Spinning: Classes are taught on a specialized stationary bike, taking you on a virtual ride that simulates on and off road cycling techniques. This is a very challenging cardiovascular workout. (Beginners are encouraged to try our monthly Intro to Spin class. Please watch for club postings for dates and times.) Power Yoga: A challenging series of strong, flowing postures combined with a concentration on breathing technique that increases strength, flexibility and focus. Vinyasa Yoga: A power Vinyasa flow that will build strength and flexibility, as well as increase your focus and balance. A good class for those experienced in yoga - but beginners are always welcome and easily integrated. Cardio Bootcamp: If you love a challenge and are looking for some variety, this class is for you! Athletic drills combined with kickbox, step, core board, body bar, weights, and strength exercises will provide a high-powered cardiovascular workout! Pilates: These mat classes focus on fine tuning muscles through a series of held poses and contractions, resulting in a lean, defined, strong musculature. Kickbox This martial arts based class uses both upper body boxing and lower body kicking skills for a high intensity cardio workout. Muscle Conditioning: One of the best ways to boost your metabolism, combat osteoporosis, shape your body, and decrease your risk of injury. Class formats will vary by instructor and with the forms of resistance equipment used in each, but can include the use of weights, resistance bands, body bars, and steps. All levels of fitness can benefit from these classes. Get ready for a great workout! Running Club: Join us Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights for organized runs around the river. All levels are welcome! Come meet a great group of people for an evening of a few miles, new friends, fitness and laughs! Friday Night Fun Runs are open to the public! Martial Arts Tang Soo Do: A Korean martial art form is similar to Tae Kwon Do. Each hour class is broken into 20 minute segments that focus on warm-up/stretching, self defense skills, and ground work (judo). Classes are taught by 3rd degree black belt, Chris Klacko.
